PNG Science Mission Statement
PNG Science provides scientific advising for maximizing Pulsed Neutron Generators neutron yield and lifetime by advancing innovative technologies as well as perfecting of existing ones.
Scientific advising is provided by Juan Navarro-Sorroche, PhD, that has extensive research and development experience, including several US patents, disclosures and papers on the subject of Pulsed Neutron Generators and other technologies for the Oil/Gas industry. Dr. Navarro-Sorroche's strengths include global field operations management and engineering experience, Research, Development and commercialization of pioneering technologies for the oil and gas industry including:
Memory logging systems
Layered reservoir technologies to estimate the individual layer properties of a reservoir
Multilayer Reservoir Testing Systems
Wire-less real-time correlation systems
Pulsed pressure telemetry systems for surface controlled deployment of elector-mechanical devices, as well as safe detonation of explosive downhole
In the last 10 years, Dr. Navarro-Sorroche has worked on improving the reliability, lifetime, and neutron yield of an electron-impact based Pulsed Neutron Generator design. He has also led the research of new concepts for Neutron Generator design, including direct ionization, laser acceleration and piezo-electric technologies. Dr. Navarro-Sorroche has also established a Pulsed Neutron Generator collaboration network with national labs and Universities including Berkely, University of New Mexico, UT Dallas, SIR International, Idaho State University and Adelphi Technology.
